Retablo Feudi Castellazzo
The history of the Retablo Winery and Farm has been linked for over 100 years to that of the Spanò family, a tale of love for the land, passion for the wine and commitment to the territory. A family saga which features founder Enzo Spanò, his sister Elisabetta, his children and their descendants, including the current owner Salvino, as protagonists alongside the people who live the winery day by day.
The company is located in the Castellazzo district between the ancient villages of Vita and Salemi, in the Trapani area. Half of these lands have always been dedicated to viticulture for the production of strictly organic white grapes such as Chardonnay, Lucido (Catarratto), Grillo, Zibibbo, Inzolia, Damaschino and Trebbiano and black ones such as Nero d'Avola, Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot, Frappato, Pignatello and Petit Verdot. The other half of the land is instead used for the cultivation of durum wheat, olives and melons.

The winery uses a transformation plant of 1,650 square meters with heat-controlled stainless steel tanks of 600,000 liters, a bottling plant up to 3,000 bottles per hour and a series of oak barrels for refining and aging the wine of the capacity of 30,000 liters.
This is how Retablo’s excellent wines are born from an enological and organoleptic point of view. Strong wines that over the years have not only fully respected the requirements and guidelines dictated by the EU regulatory bodies for organic products but have always exceeded them, making the Retablo Winery a leader in its territory and in the production of high-end wines.
