In the wake of the America’s Cup which took place in Trapani in 2005, the city continues to host important events related to sailing and yachting. The city can count on a busy calendar made of music gigs, theater dates, conferences, fairs and various religious and folkloristic shows throughout the year.

Every summer, from July to September, a series of lyric performances, operettas and ballets with a rich cast of nationally and internationally renowned artists take place in the splendid garden of the Villa Margherita; the winter opera season and the prose season are held instead at the Provincial Auditorium of the University Campus.
