Periplo di Monte Cofano

There are three main paths that allow visitors to tour the Natural Reserve of Monte Cofano:

The first one is the “coastal”: starting from the Borgata di Cornino or from the opposite side, the Torre della Tonnara. Both departure points allow, if desired, to make the circumnavigation of Mount Cofano passing through the saddle of the mountain.

The second route is the “Scaletta”: Starting from the eastern area of the Reserve, it allows visitors to climb quickly towards the saddle of the mountains characterized by a luxuriant Mediterranean scrub. In the past it was traveled by shepherds to easily reach nearby towns.

The third route is the one that starts from Baglio Cofano, in the so-called saddle of the mountain that allows visitors to  reach the top of the peak. It is a challenging path, perfect for hikers, that offers amazing views that can be admired from the top.
